UA and Banner welcome neonatologist Patel 

Dr. Shalin Patel has joined the University of Arizona Department of Pediatrics and Banner Children’s at Diamond Children’s Medical Center.

As a neonatologist, Patel will provide care for high-risk newborns with critical clinical conditions, prematurity and birth defects, and provide care for other newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Diamond Children’s.

He received his medical degree from C.U. Shah Medical College in Surendranagar, India; did his pediatrics residency at Western Michigan University School of Medicine and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. He also holds an MPH in health care administration from Benedictine University in Illinois.
