Hutchinson joins UA Sarver Heart Center
The University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center welcomes Dr. Mathew D. Hutchinson as director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Program in the Division of Cardiology at the UA College of Medicine – Tucson.
Board certified in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, Hutchinson specializes in treating complex heart rhythm disorders, such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.
He comes from the University of Pennsylvania where he was an associate professor of medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. He completed his medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine and his medical residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School in Boston. His cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships were completed at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
