Cox Communications Southern Arizona: Cox is donating a $15,000 technology center, to be located downtown, to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson. The Cox Technology Center will be a part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring Toward College and Career program.

Feed the Children: Feed the Children is providing more than 2,000 backpacks to Marana Unified School District, Amphitheater School District, Tucson Unified School District and Sunnyside Unified School District on Wednesday, March 9. The backpacks, containing school supplies and snacks, will be distributed throughout the school year to students experiencing hardship.

BRAKEmax: The company donated $3,000 to the 100 Club of Arizona in Tucson, benefiting first responders and their families.

The Rincon Optimist Club: The club, a chapter of the Optimists of Southern Arizona, will host its annual Youth Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, March 10, at the Forty Niner Country Club, to honor local students who have overcome challenges. Jim Click will be the guest speaker.

Loop Jean Company: The store, at 7047 N. Oracle Road, will host a trunk show from 12-6 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at which 10 percent of all purchases from featured vendors (Shinola watches and β€œR” By Robert Graham men’s fashions) will be donated to the Ben’s Bells Project.
