Hale to head city's HR department 

Curry Hale has been promoted to human resources director for the city of Tucson. He had served in that role on an interim basis since March 2014.

Hale, who began his career with the city in 2000, has held six positions within the department, and has worked extensively on labor relations issues.

The Human Resources Department provides service and policy guidance to all city departments, 5,000 employees and 3,200 retirees.
