Not only did he help the Badgers to 1988 and 1989 state championships, the tall right-hander went 13-1 in 1990 and was the state’s pitcher of the year with a 0.90 ERA. He was drafted in the second round by Montreal and reached the big leagues two years later. His THS career record, 29-4, is believed to be the best in Tucson history.
