AIA doesn't show Desert Christian respect it deserves

When Desert Christian High School’s baseball team played in the Division I state semifinals last week, seeking its third straight state championship, they were assigned to play at the Goodyear Sports Complex, where the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds play spring training games. But the AIA put coach Grant Hopkins’ team on an auxiliary workout field, and sentenced them to play at 11 a.m., on a field that hadn’t been groomed and had some dead grass. It wasn’t the right way to treat any high school playoff team in any sport.
