Amphi’s Medford joins list of locals who have danced

When Amphitheater High School’s 2012 state championship point guard Lester Medford scored five points for Baylor in Thursday’s NCAA tournament loss to UAB, he became the 13th former Tucson prep basketball player of the Pac-10/12 years to be part of an NCAA tournament team. Also on the roster:

Boise State assistant coach Jeremy Harden of Tucson High became the third Tucsonan to be part of a staff in the NCAA tournament, joining former UA assistant Jay John of Salpointe and Washington Huskies staffer Lance LaVetter of Rincon.
