Andy Hersey: Tucson country singer
How do you survive summers in Tucson?
“Siestas during the hottest part of the day, of course. Any yard work that may need to be done happens early in the morning, then the siesta. By usually just before sundown is a good time to find a patio someplace and have a beer.”
Summer tip:
You can find Hersey, dressed in what he calls “Tucson camouflage” — palm leaf hat, flip flops and shorts — on a number of Tucson patios: Fridays at Shooters Steakhouse & Saloon, 3115 E. Prince Road; Sundays at Fini’s Landing, 5689 N. Swan Road; and occasional Thursdays at Saguaro Corners Restaurant & Bar, 3750 S. Old Spanish Trail.
