SALT LAKE CITY β€” Hundreds of family, friends and colleagues have come together at a large concert hall in Salt Lake City to celebrate the life of the well-known restaurateur and LGBT pioneer who recently died in a house fire.

Mourners at the funeral on Tuesday said that 72-year-old John Williams was an extremely generous man who brought the city's dining to a new level. They spoke of his love for the symphony and his quiet, yet influential work for the LGBT community.

Williams' estranged husband Craig Crawford has been arrested on suspicion of murder and arson. He is currently in jail, but has not been charged yet.

Williams' long-time business partner Tom Guinney says Williams was married for about a decade and the circumstances surrounding his death were tragic.
