Arizona softball coming home for Territorial Cup
Before it played a doubleheader Saturday in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Arizona’s softball team had been on the road for 11 of the last 16 days. The Wildcats return to Hillenbrand Stadium on Friday for the annual Territorial Cup series with Arizona State. The Sun Devils aren’t the team they were the last four seasons when pitcher Dallas Escobedo was so dominant. The difference? This year, ASU’s pitching staff has yielded more hits than innings pitched. With Escobedo a year ago, ASU’s staff gave up just 295 hits in 382 innings.
