Arizona assistant track coach Craig Carter, who has coached All-American Julie Labonte and Olympian Jill Camarena-Williams, among others, was inducted into the Utah State University sports Hall of Fame on Friday night. He was a two-time All-America hammer thrower at USU. Carter was emotional during his speech on Friday, giving appreciation to the late Ralph Maughan, after whom the USU track facility is named. Maughan offered Carter a scholarship even though he was married and had a child and was working for a living after his high school career.
