UA's 2012 CWS ace Heyer opens in bullpen
After three seasons as a starting pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals system, Arizona’s 2012 College World Series ace, Kurt Heyer, opened the season in the bullpen. Heyer, who had 49 career minor-league starts, is pitching for the Springfield (Missouri) Cardinals, as he did in 25 starts a year ago, finishing 5-11.
