Ex-Cat Hale has backup plan if baseball doesn't work out  

When Chip Hale began his major-league managerial career for the Diamondbacks last week, it wasn’t without a fallback plan. Hale earned a degree in finance while at Arizona from 1984-87. He has been steadily employed in baseball for 28 years.
