Tucson High sophomore Delaney Schnell left for Penza, Russia, last week in preparation for the 2014 FINA World Junior Diving Championships, where she finished sixth on the platform in 2012. She placed second in the event at the 2013 Junior Pan American Championships and first and second at the 2013 and 2014 USA Junior Nationals, respectively. She is expected to be a gold medal contender this week.
