The Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was invited to meet and present to the Trump transition team earlier this week in Washington, D.C.

The Trump administration hosted a Latino Roundtable with 40 national Latino organizations. Each organization presented policy priorities from their constituents.

THCC President and CEO Lea Marquez Peterson spoke about challenges businesses face in accessing capital to grow.

She also stressed the importance of trade with Mexico, Arizona’s largest trading partner. Marquez Peterson suggested engaging industry leaders on modification to the North American Free Trade Agreement and told the assembled group that the repeal of NAFTA would be devastating to Arizona’s economy.
