• Manheim Tucson:
  • Manheim and several franchise dealers in Southern Arizona hosted a
  • dealer-only
  • charity car auction benefiting Youth on Their Own. Local dealers donated 35 vehicles, and all money raised, totaling more than $30,000, donated to the nonprofit to help local homeless youths.
  • Caliber Collision:
  • A food drive in the Tucson area by Caliber yielded nearly 13,000 meals for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, to help provide at-risk children with nutritious meals during the summer months. Nationwide, the company collected more than $334,000 in cash and thousands of pounds of food for 37 food banks.
  • Pima County Sheriff’s Department:
  • The department is donating a former patrol car, a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria, to the Pima County Joint Technical Education District criminal justice program, for use by β€œfuture deputies in training ... in realistic law enforcement scenarios.”
  • Tucson Allstate:
  • The volunteer efforts of local Allstate agency owners Keith Duncan, Linc Landerville, Ted McGuire, Edmund Marquez, Ramon Vasquez, Julio Galindo, Michael Brown, Debe Campos-Fleenor, Grant Franzen and Craig Pretzinger helped secure a total of $16,000 in grants from The Allstate Foundation to support 12 Arizona nonprofits.
  • The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation:
  • The foundation is accepting applications for the $100,000 School Challenge, presented by University of Phoenix, to benefit schools across the state of Arizona. For details and to submit an application by Sept. 30 , go to dbacks.com/schoolchallenge
  • Kohl’s:
  • This back-to-school season, Kohl’s says it will donate up to $1 million nationally to AdoptAClassroom.org
