Banner Health has opened a new Quick Care clinic inside a central Tucson Safeway grocery store.

The clinic is one of three retail-based centers in Arizona. The other two are located in Safeway stores in Chandler and Tempe, according to a Banner Health news release.

The Quick Care clinics give patients of all ages access to an array of health care services seven days a week.

Treatment will be available for allergic reactions, common colds, coughs, earaches, physical exams, pinkeye, stomach aches, strep throat, urinary tract infections, and similar medical needs. The clinics will also offer vaccinations.

Unlike Banner Urgent Care, Banner Quick Care will not offer labs or imaging services, and is not equipped to handle other urgent health needs such as broken bones or serious cuts, the news release said.

Hours of operation for the Tucson Banner Quick Care clinic at 1940 E. Broadway, near Kino Parkway, are Monday through Friday from 2 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Walk-ins are welcome. Appointments can also be made online at BannerHealth.com/QuickCare.
