The kitchen of a day-care center in central Tucson received a β€œprovisional” rating from the county Health Department during a February inspection, but passed its follow-up 10 days later.

PequeΓ±os Gigantes Daycare, 1818 S. Country Club Road, has received β€œgood” and β€œexcellent” ratings during inspections by the Pima County Health Department dating back to 2012, but ran into some trouble on its Feb. 12 inspection, records show.

The inspector noted five critical violations, including cooked chorizo stored above safe holding temperature and no date markings on the food prepared on-site. All food cooked on-site is required to be marked with a seven-day discard date, the report says.

PequeΓ±os Gigantes passed a follow-up inspection Feb. 22.
