Mijac is Long Realtyโ€™s
new designated broker

John Mijac is the new designated broker for Long Realty Co. He succeeds Jerome King, Long Realtyโ€™s designated broker since 2003, who has retired.

Mijac joined Long in 2012 as a contract manager at the Tanque Verde office and a sales manager at the Foothills office, after many years in small Tucson brokerages.

Nationally, Mijac helped spearhead a successful change in the Realtor code of ethics to include protections for gay, lesbian and transgender people, Long Realty said in a news release. He worked at the state level to revise the Arizona purchase contract, and on Arizona Association of Realtor committees on issues including regionalization and transaction management.

Locally, Mijac has served on the Tucson Association of Realtors board and its MLS board, and led the task force to rewrite the MLS bylaws and governance structure.

He has been a big brother in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization, a project leader for United Way and a board member of the Children of Ethiopia Education Foundation.
