Tucson muralist Rock Martinez steps away from his work on the letter “C” of a greeting card he is painting with Victor Ving, right, in the alley behind Miller Surplus at 406 N. Sixth Ave., on Thursday. Ving and his girlfriend, photographer Lisa Beggs, are traveling around the country painting murals inspired by vintage postcards . They get their ideas by talking to those in the local community and, as in the case of Martinez, they get help painting. Their next scheduled stop is Knoxville, Tennessee.
