Local BRAKEmax centers and their customers collected high-protein, nutritious peanut butter for the Community Food Bank.  

• BRAKEmax Car Care Centers of Tucson: More than 300 jars of peanut butter were collected by BRAKEmax during a joint promotion with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona in August and September. Customers brought in jars of peanut butter in exchange for discounts on goods and services. Additionally, BRAKEmax and their Max Auto Glass subsidiary sponsored and promoted HungerWalk 2016 as a Gold Sponsor with a $1,000 donation.

• State Farm: The insurance company presented the Tucson Police Foundation with a $5,166 check on Saturday, Oct. 8. The Tucson Police Foundation and the Tucson Police Department, in partnership with State Farm, conduct the Safe Teen Accident Reduction Training (START) classes.
