Tucson International Airport

Expanded security checkpoints are part of the changes, which are set to be done by late 2017.

As promised, big changes are coming to the ticket counters at Tucson International Airport as part of its terminal renovation project.

On June 1, American Airlines' check-in counters are slated to move from the east end of the terminal to the west end, making American the first airline visitors come to as they arrive at the terminal.

The target date could change, so passengers should check for updates on TIA's website, www.flytucson.com, the airport advised.

The same day that American Airlines moves its check-in counters, all of its flights will begin departing and arriving from the B Concourse, while United Airlines flights will move to the A Concourse from the B Concourse.

United's check-in counters will move to the east end of the terminal building once renovations to that area are completed. In the meantime, United passengers will continue to check-in at the existing counter.
