Cochise College's great season ends on poor note

Cochise College basketball coach Jerry Carrillo, whose Apaches qualified for the NJCAA national tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas, for the third time this season, rented a bus and made the long two-day trip last week. When they arrived, they played Vincennes (Indiana) College and lost 90-60 to end a terrific season. … One of Carrillo’s former Cochise players, Cholla High grad Ajak Magot, completed his college career at Idaho State. Magot started all 30 games for the Bengals and had a season-high of 12 points against Northern Colorado.
