It's National Beer Day, and while there is no shortage of bars and breweries around town, why not try out something new?

Here's a quick breakdown of four of Tucson's newest establishments, all of which can help you celebrate beer's special day.

  • Three Canyon Beer and Wine Garden launched late last month at 4999 N. Sabino Canyon Road, less than a mile south of the popular outdoor recreation area. The bar has 16 beers on tap — five European beers and 11 craft — and 110 different beers in cans and bottles, available for purchase.
  • The first brewery on the east side, BlackRock Brewers, opened at 1664 S. Research Loop this week. Its hours are 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and noon-8 p.m. Saturdays. BlackRock is working with a 3-barrel system and there are 2-3 beers, including a cream ale and an Imperial Irish red, available this weekend.
  • Tucson’s first Dave & Buster’s opened Monday at 1390 E. Tucson Marketplace Blvd, near Costco. The 30,000-square-foot building houses more than 135 arcade games and features a bar that faces a wall full of televisions.
  • Copper Mine Brewing Company, 3455 S. Palo Verde Road, opened at the end of February and has six beers on tap.
