Dolly Parton recently hosted the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards alongside Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett. The country legend opened the show by saying that she’d β€œrather pass a kidney stone” than be political. However, she asked all those in attendance and those watching on Prime Video to send their β€œlove and hope to our brothers and sisters in Ukraine”. So why don't we just dedicate this entire show to them and pray for peace around this crazy old world, Dolly Parton. While accepting the Group of the Year award Brad Tursi of Old Dominion said it felt strange to celebrate while "people are fighting for their lives”. Other winners include Miranda Lambert who won Entertainer of the Year and Chris Stapleton who won Male Artist of the Year.

Morgan Wallen won album of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Monday night for β€œDangerous: The Double Album,” a year after he was removed from the ACMs ballot after he was caught on camera using a racial slur.

Wallen made no direct reference to the incident or his absence from recent awards shows while accepting the trophy at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, but may have dropped a hint about it.

Miranda Lambert took home the night's top prize, entertainer of the year, for the first time after losing out in five previous years, but was not in Las Vegas to accept it. Read the full story here:
