With all that’s going on in the world today, we could use a laugh.

And comedian Bill Engvall is giving us two chances to get our ha-ha on when he plays a pair of shows Saturday, May 20, at Fox Tucson Theatre, 17 W. Congress St.

Engvall, a founding member of the Blue Collar Comedy tour, hits the stage at 7:30 and 10 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $35 to $89 for the early show, $35 for all seats for the late show at foxtucsontheatre.ticketforce.com

Expect to hear Engvall talk about getting older, marriage and, yes, those things we do that annoy and downright puzzle him and that will earn you a β€œHere’s your sign” declaration.

Engvall’s show is one of three concerts we would love to catch this weekend.

Here are the other two.

  • Brian Wilson — yes, that Brian Wilson of Beach Boys fame — is playing a show at Centennial Hall, 1020 E. University Blvd., at 8 p.m. Friday, May 19. The show, a Rialto Theatre copresentation with Emporium, also features fellow Beach Boy Al Jardine on guitar and backing vocals, and Jardine’s son Matt filling in those Mike Love falsetto lines from “Help Me, Rhonda,” at least that’s what he did on Sunday at a Mother’s Day show in Austin, Texas. Tickets are $45 to $125 at ticketmaster.com

According to a review of Wilson’s Sunday show in Austin, expect to see the 74-year-old Wilson to play an epic show that runs close to three hours. Details: rialtotheatre.com

Wilson and Jardine’s last Tucson show was in April 2012, the opening of the Beach Boys 50th anniversary tour. It also was the first time that Wilson had toured with his surf rock band in 46 years.

  • Tucson punk-pop/hip-hop leaning band Never Say Never is hosting a CD release party at The Rock, 136 N. Park Ave., beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 20. They’ve invited some friends —The Raskal, Fire Glass, The Living Breathing, Tribulance and HiRise among them — to celebrate the release of Never Say Never’s debut album “No Filter.” This is an all-ages show. It’s $10 for adults, $5 for anyone 13 and younger at the door. Details: rocktucson.com
