Fox Tucson Theatre is bringing a world-renowned humorist, a Russian circus, a critically acclaimed improv troupe and a host of noted rock, folk and country acts to Tucson this fall.

The downtown venue, 17 W. Congress St., also has a full slate of holiday-themed shows as part of its 2016 fall season, which kicks off Sept. 10 with the improv troupe Whose Live Anyway? featuring the cast of TV's "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis and Joel Murray. Tickets for the 90-minute show start at $27.

•  Hey, hey its the Monkees "Good Times: The 50th Anniversary Tour," Sept. 14, $49-$129.

• Mexican Independence Day concert with Linus Lerner and the Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra, featuring special guests Enrique Touissant  and the winners of the inaugural  San Luis Potusi Lerner Competition.  Admission is free.

• Grammy-winning country singer Mary Chapin Carpenter, Sept. 24, $29-$74.

• "Community Interactive: Stories from the Border," featuring a panel of journalists from Mexico and the U.S. Its presented by Arizona Public Media and The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, and admission is free.

• Big Head Blues Club featuring Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Sept. 30. Mud Morganfield, Billy Branch and Ronnie Baker Brooks are on tap to perform the songs of Willie Dixon. $32-$67.

• Shanghai Circus and Acrobats of the People's Republic of China incorporate the wonders of acrobatics with traditional Chinese circus and Peking Opera, Oct. 5. $24-$39.

• Seattle indie folk rockers The Head and the Heart, Oct. 6, $37-$52.

• An evening with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jackson Browne, Oct. 7, $43-$98.

• Second Saturdays with RyanHood, Oct. 8, free.

• Erth's Dinosaur Zoo takes a prehistoric tour through Australia Oct. 9. $22-$62.

• Russian Grand Ballet's production of arguably the most famous ballet, Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake," Oct. 11. $39-$75.

• "Grease is the word!" Grease Sing-A-Long Oct. 14, $20. Proceeds benefit the Hearth Foundation.

• A capella super group Straight No Chaser brings "I'll Have Another" on Oct. 17. $39.50-$59.50.

• Special event: singer-songwriter Boz Scaggs headlines the Fox Tucson Theatre Foundation "Chasing Rainbows" gala concert Oct. 27. Tickets start at $75.

• Pop-country band Sawyer Brown makes a long-awaited Tucson appearance Nov. 17. $34-$64.

• Spend an evening with roots, folk-pop star Bruce Hornsby Nov. 19. $27-$82.

• New Orleans-based Lightwire Theatre presents "A Very Electric Christmas" dance, puppetry and technology show on Nov. 25. $17-$32.

• "The Last Waltz" Tucson Style brings together a cast of estimable Tucson musicians (Duncan Stitt, George Howard, Howe Gelb, Brian Lopez, Gabriel Sullivan, Bruce Halper and Katie Haverly) to recreat The Band's final concert.  Nov. 26, $15 to $30; proceeds benefit Southern Arizona Artist and Musician’s Healthcare Alliance and the Fox Tucson Theatre Foundation.

• Humorist Garrison Keillor is no longer doing "Prairie Home Companion," but it's a safe bet Lake Wobegon is still swirling around his repertoire. Nov. 29, $37-$84.
