This is hard to resist: The music of Broadway interpreted by singers, acrobats and aerial artists.

Itโ€™s โ€œBig Top Broadway,โ€ at Desert View Performing Arts Center this weekend.

What makes this particularly appealing is that the show is produced and performed by some of Tucsonโ€™s most accomplished performers. And a few from out of town.

Khris Dodge is co-creator of the show โ€” Dodge is a talented musician who has worked on several local musicals.

He has put together a cast that generally aims to please. Among them: former Tucsonan Stuart Moulton, who has sung and danced across many of Tucson stages, and in recent years has added aerial arts to his bag of talents; University of Arizona graduate Walter Belcher, whose glorious singing voice has taken him around the world, and Nick Gallardo, a hometown boy who sings like an angel.

Also signed on: musical theater actress Grace Wall, who hails from New York City; Jonathan Nosan, whose aerial, contortions and stilt dancing skills have landed him jobs in movies, on TV and stages; acrobatic artist Kelsey Strauch; and musician and aerialist Julie Passaro Krygsman.

There are just two performances: 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27 at Desert View, 39900 S. Clubhouse Drive. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door. 825-2818 or tickets.saddlebrooketwo.com Kathleen Allen
