"Clawback" by J.A. Jance

β€œClawback” by Southern Arizona’s J.A. Jance is a top 10 best-seller.

The Tucson Festival of Book's literacy efforts can change a person’s life for the better and make a difference in the community at large in the process, was the message ofΒ Southern Arizona Author J.A. Jance upon receiving the Founders Award at the eighth annual festival.

In her recent blog she recalls the festival:Β

  • "For authors, the three-day festival is like a mini-book tour β€” without having to use airplanes to get from signing to signing."
  • Bill and Brenda Viner are visionaries.Β
  • She wore a dress toΒ a dress to the authors dinner that hadn’t fit her since 2003.
  • Talking to a crowd of 1500 or so is no problem for her. Cocktail parties, however, are a different story.Β

Upon receiving the Founders Award:Β

"By the time I reached center stage, all the people in the entire room were on their feet, giving me a standing ovation. I have to say, the whole experience took my breath away. It was and is one of the best moments of my life. It took several moments for me to get my sea legs back under me so I could say a few words."
