The Arizona Daily Star’s recently released “100 Years of Tucson Weather: The Events That Changed Our Landscape, Challenged Our Endurance and Broke Our Hearts” is now available at the Star offices, 4850 S. Park Ave.

The stories of Southern Arizona’s intriguing and surprising weather — snow, flooding, tornadoes, heat — come from the pages of the Star.

Some articles are verbatim, and others an amalgam of reporting from days and weeks as the news unfolded. Photos are from the archives of the Star and the Tucson Citizen.

“The book offers a history of our area through its weather, reveals the human toll of many of the events and reinforces what should always be a healthy respect for Mother Nature,” says Maria Parham, the book’s editor.

The Star offices are on the northwest corner of Park Avenue and Irvington Road. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays-Fridays. Closed Saturdays and Sundays.
