McAlister’s Deli, a fast casual restaurant chain with Southern roots and more than 350 locations across the country, will soon launch its first Tucson location at 735 E. Wetmore Road.
It will be the fourth in the state, according to the chain’s website. The other three are in Phoenix, Peoria and in Northern Arizona (Cameron).
McAlister’s was founded in 1989 in Oxford, Mississippi and is based in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Its menu features a mix of salads, sandwiches, soups and giant spuds, mega-potatoes with different toppings depending on which spud you order.
The Black Angus Roast Beef Spud, for example, comes with caramelized onions, Cheddar Jack cheese and au jus.
The McAlister’s Deli Tucson location is slated to open in May, according to its Facebook page.
