Tucson's Gem and Jam Festival 2016.

One of the best secrets of the Tucson Gem and Mineral show has gotten some national attention, after a Huffington Post contributor raved about the show- and our beloved town.

"The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show is a site to see," contributor Jason Devaney wrote in his recent post. "With vendors of all nationalities strewn across the city with rare fossils, cultural artifacts, art, geological wonders and more, there’s a new adventure around every corner."

Devaney says that for him, the culminating point of the show is the Gem and Jam Festival, which features Visionary Artists, DJ's and local and national musicians in a "high-vibe environment under the desert sky."

Since Tucson is one of America’s best-kept cultural treasures with some of the oldest history in the nation and a diverse arts community, anyone who loves the summer festival season will surely enjoy the Gem and Mineral Show, which is the "perfect medicine for the long, grey winter months," according to Devaney.

This year's festival, which runs Feb. 2 through Feb. 5at the Pima County Fairgrounds, features nearly 50 artists doing everything from electronic music to dubstep and bluegrass fusion.
