Important questions: A) How do I throw a fiendishly fun Halloween party? and B) Why does The Auld Dubliner smell like cinnamon all the time?

Ask this guy: Hotel Congress bartender Keith Caywood. He's the inventor of the fiery cinnamon spectacular the Harry Potter shot, as well as other gems like the Lava Lamp Martini and the Irish Trashcan.

By evening, Keith is a serious mixologist and secretary of the United States Bartenders' Guild Tucson chapter. But once in a full moon, he transforms into master of wizardry and kitsch. Get a taste of his signature drinks โ€” the Walking Dead, Shark Attack and Harry Potter โ€” weekends at the Hotel Congress lobby bar, or head over to The Auld Dubliner where he invented the Harry Potter.

If you decide to try and make these at home, just be brave and remember: "Liquor before fear, in the clear. Fear before liquor? Never stickier ..."ย

Shark Attack shot

  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce grenadine
  • Sprite, to taste
  • 1/2 ounce Blue Curacao

Pour vodka and grenadine in a tall shot glass. While upright, tuck shot glass into pint glass and then turn upside down without spilling the liquid.ย

In another glass, pour in Sprite and Blue Curacao. Pour over pint glass.ย

To drink, slowly pull out shot glass so that the liquids mix.ย
