Telemundo's 90-episode musical biopic "Jenni Rivera: Mariposa de Barrio" starring Tucson native and Pueblo High alum Angélica Celaya premieres at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 27.

The show runs an hour each night on weekdays through early December, leading up to the fifth anniversary of the Dec. 9, 2012, death of the popular Mexican-American ranchero/banda singer-songwriter. Rivera, who was an international superstar, was killed in a plane crash shortly after take-off from a concert in Mexico City.

Rivera had been a regular to Tucson stages, boasting sold-out shows including at her 2011 concert at the AVA at Casino del Sol; that turned out to be her last Tucson appearance.
