Dove of Peace Lutheran Church is turning its annual mostly-Bach recital over to a quartet of prize-winning international guitarists on Sunday, March 11.

The four musicians, finalists in the annual University of Arizona David Russell Guitar Competition, will perform Bach’s distinctive Baroque works transcribed for classical guitar. Each year, the Grammy-winning Russell judges the competition, held during his annual Tucson residency, which was held this year in February. The four guitarists hail from China (Bin Hu), Mexico (Misael Barraza-Diaz and Ignacio Mondaca Garcia) and Canada (Grant Miller).

Sunday’s concert begins at 2 p.m. at Dove of Peace, 665 W. Roller Coaster Road. Admission is free but donations will be accepted and presented to TIHAN, which works with those affected by HIV/AIDS.

This is the 14th season of Dove of Peace’s free concert series. Sunday’s concert is its annual tribute to Bach.
