Thirteen is usually a bad number, if you believe in that sort of thing, but for Tucson's KFMA Fall Ball, the 13th annual festival Oct. 16 is shaping up to be a very good thing indeed.

Fans of modern rock and pop will have two stages of action. The side stage lineup hasn't been announced yet, but the main stage will include several bands we haven't seen around these parts in years.

The last time we saw Panic At the Disco in 2011, it was a duo. Now it's a solo act, with frontman Brendon Urie accompanied by a backing band on the road. But Urie has done wonders in recent years; Panic's 2015 album "Death of A Bachelor" topped the Billboard album charts and several singles have made runs up the pop and rock charts.

Correct us if we're wrong, but it's been even longer since headliner Weezer has been on a Tucson stage, although the alt-rockers have swung through Arizona several times including shows at the Arizona State Fair.

Also on the Fall Ball lineup:

• Brit rockers The Struts make their Tucson debut. Expect a little glam rock with heavy metal influences.

Iration, Cali rockers by way of Hawaii, return to a much larger stage this go around. Last time we saw them was at The Rialto in 2014, but they also played the much more intimate UA area club The Rock the year before.

• It's a quick turnaround for Des Moines rockers Holy White Hounds. They played The Rock in June.

Tickets: Want the VIP Experience? Packages that include a t-shirt, souvenir lanyard, two meals and two drinks start at $99 for the first 99 people to buy after online tickets go on sale beginning Aug. 20. It goes up to $125 with ticket No. 100.

• General tickets go on presale for $30 on Aug. 27 at all area Pizza Hut restaurants. If you wait until the day of the show, it'll cost you $50. Details here.
