Trumpeter Chris Botti is mostly known these days for his work in jazz, but he’s also known to dip into rock and pop.

That’s apparently where he meandered during a concert in February in Washington, D.C., according to reviewer Diane Jackson Schnoor:

β€œI went to a Chris Botti concert and Cirque du Soleil and Led Zeppelin broke out. Saturday night’s Washington Performing Arts concert by Grammy-winning trumpeter Chris Botti was eclectic, entertaining, and downright electrifying.”

Expect something like that when Botti performs at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Fox Tucson Theatre, 17 W. Congress St. And Botti, 53, has a solid reputation for his adventurous and energized live shows.
