Trumpeter Botti will mix styles at Fox show

Trumpeter Chris Botti is mostly known these days for his work in jazz, but he’s also known to dip into rock and pop.

That’s apparently where he meandered during a concert in February in Washington, D.C., according to reviewer Diane Jackson Schnoor:

“I went to a Chris Botti concert and Cirque du Soleil and Led Zeppelin broke out. Saturday night’s Washington Performing Arts concert by Grammy-winning trumpeter Chris Botti was eclectic, entertaining, and downright electrifying.”

Expect something like that when Botti performs at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Fox Tucson Theatre, 17 W. Congress St. And Botti, 53, has a solid reputation for his adventurous and energized live shows.
