Odd internet trend has Grand Canyon reviewers saying they lost their pants

Everyone's a critic! If you have scrolled through online reviews of Grand Canyon National Park recently, you may have noticed hundreds of people saying they lost their pants while visiting the popular Arizona landmark.
One-star reviews of the Grand Canyon posted on Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Google seem to mostly feature just one complaint: visitors leaving trouser-less.
The origin for the less-than-credible prank reviews is unknown, but could be the result of a 2019 Twitter post by online comedian Sarah Schauer, known for their viral posts on Vine, TikTok, and Twitter.
Schauer's tweet, which has over 8,000 likes, reads, "Dating advice: don’t drunk text your ex, just leave a bad review for the Grand Canyon."
Attached to the post are photos of Schauer's Google review of Arizona's own "wonder of the world" that simply states, "I've seen bigger."
