The Royal Room, Tucson's newest wine bar, is slated to open its doors this Tuesday on the same southeast corner of East Sixth Street and North Sixth Avenue as the newly opened Anello Pizzeria and Crooked Tooth Brewing Company.
The intimate establishment (about 1,500 square feet) is just up the street from Tap & Bottle and a couple blocks west of North Fourth Avenue.
The space will offer a rotating list of wines from around the world that will be available by the glass or in flights.
“We want to help start the conversation about wine in Tucson,” Royal Room co-owner Ian Stupar said in an interview with the Star over the summer. “It seemed like an exciting time and opportunity to do something like this.”
There also will be craft beer options and a food menu that will include items meant to complement the wines being offered — things like charcuterie plates, house sandwiches and bruschetta.
The hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Tuesdays-Thursdays, 11 a.m.-midnight Fridays-Saturdays and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sundays, according to the Facebook page.
