Ex-QB MacPherson winning on, off the fieldΒ
James MacPhersonΒ is one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in Tucson history. He was a standout at Mountain View High School, a starter at Wake Forest, and later spent three years in the Arena Football League. He went on to coach in the old UFL and at Pima College, and is now a full-time scout for the San Diego Chargers. More impressively, he founded Santaβs Helpers, a nonprofit organization based in Marana that provides clothing and toys for children in low-income households.Β
