Former Tucsonans win conference championship at Indiana State
Two of the leading softball players in Pima College history, Sabino second baseman Aubre Carpenter and Sahuarita pitcher Yvette Alvarez, helped Indiana State win the Missouri Valley Conference tournament last week. They are playing in an NCAA regional in Columbia, Missouri. Carpenter is ISU’s starting second baseman and Alvarez is the No. 2 pitcher in the rotation.
