In the sprawling Congressional District 1, Democratic incumbent Tom O'Halleran is ahead in early results over his Republican rival, Wendy Rogers.

O'Halleran, first elected to the House of Representatives in 2016, had nearly 50.9 percent of the vote while Rogers had about 49.1 percent, early ballots showed.

It is unclear, early Tuesday night how many ballots have not been counted in the district, which covers 11 separate counties in Arizona.
