The next Vegan Night Market on June 1 will be held at a bigger venue to accommodate more vendors and attendees.

Citing a growing popularity of vegan lifestyles, Tucson’s quarterly Vegan Night Market is expanding its presence with a bigger venue.

The free market, sponsored by Tucson Foodie and Hannah Hernandez of Death Free Foodie, is moving from downtown to Heirloom Farmers Markets pavilions at Rillito Park, starting with the upcoming June 1 event.

The venue, at 4802 N. First Ave, features a large dining area and plenty of parking, the organizers said.

The relocation was necessary to accommodate more vendors and 2,000-plus attendees.

The next market, from 6 to 10 p.m., will feature more than 50 vendors, up from 34 in March.

Attendees will find vegan food, drinks and desserts from food trucks, bakers, restaurants, caterers and more from Tucson, Phoenix and outside of Arizona.

Vegan cocktails and tastings from Whiskey Del Bac will be available through a full bar that will be built on-site, a news release said.

In addition to eats, there will be a vintage clothing pop-up, live tattoos and permanent jewelry vendors.

“Hannah and I are just honored to be a part of organizing something so fun, and that celebrates veganism and supports local business,” said Tucson Foodie CEO Shane Reiser. “The vegan and vegan-curious community really come out hard for this unique event.”
