Tucson audiophiles will find a piece of nirvana when they visit the record fair at Hotel Congress on Saturday, Aug. 31. It’s part of Club Congress Weekend, which replaces HoCo Fest.

Hotel Congress for 18 years hosted its annual Labor Day weekend HOCO Fest.

It was sort of the unofficial end-of-summer bash that featured a slew of local bands, new and old, on Congress’s three stages β€” Club Congress, Plaza Stage and the Century Room β€” a record fair and other fun events.

HOCO Fest’s architect, the longtime Hotel Congress entertainment director David Slutes, announced that last year’s event was the finale.

Slutes left Congress in April and many had quietly wondered if the historic downtown hotel at 311 E. Congress would find another way to fill the Labor Day weekend.

They have.

From Friday, Aug. 30, through Monday, Sept. 2, Hotel Congress will host Club Congress Weekend, four days of concerts and events on all three of its stages, from rock and pop shows, to jazz and Latin.

β€œClub Congress Weekend is our love letter to Tucson,” Quinn Scully, who replaced Slutes as entertainment director, said in a written release. β€œWe’re excited to bring together the diverse communities that have made our venue their home over the years.”

Ticket prices vary and are available through hotelcongress.com. Unless noted, all events are 21-and-older.

Here’s the lineup:
