Dallas-based Satisfaction β€” from left, β€œChris LeGrand (Mick), Trey Garitty (Keith Richards) and Ron Nelson (Ronnie Wood); not pictured, Dom Lanzo (Bill Wyman) and John Wade (Charlie Watts) β€” are part of the Beatles vs. Stones musical showdown at the Fox Tucson Theatre.

Imagine if the Rolling Stones and the Beatles were on the same marquee.

The two greatest rock bands of all time on the same stage for one night only.

OK, it’s never going to happen for obvious reasons, but what about the top Rolling Stones and Beatles tribute bands bringing that show to life?

That’s the idea behind β€œBeatles vs. Stones β€” A Musical Showdown” with the Los Angeles-based Abbey Road Beatles tribute band and Dallas-based Stones tribute band Satisfaction that’s coming to Fox Tucson Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 4.

The show features the tribute bands performing hits from all phases of the Stones and Beatles’ careers, from their 1960s beginnings in England to their American debuts and international stardom.

With costume and wig changes, we see the Beatles from their Liverpool boy band beginnings to their Sgt. Pepper days and their final album, β€œAbbey Road.”

We get the Stones from those early days in the 1960s when their gritty rock became the standard bearer for hard rock to the 1970s and β€˜80s when they infused more dance rhythms and pop before their split-up and reunion in the late 1980s-early β€˜90s.

β€œPut both together in a couple-hours show and you’re going through these timelines, it’s pretty fascinating to see how it all progressed,” said Chris LeGrand, a dead ringer for Mick Jagger who started Satisfaction 23 years ago. β€œWe’re bringing something that nobody got to see.”

Axel β€œRingo Starr” Clarke admits showdown is probably a bit of a misnomer for the β€œBeatles vs. Stones” show, which they have been touring since 2015. It makes it sound like the bands are going to duke it out to find out which is the best.

β€œYou get the entire spectrum of the bands,” he said before pulling out the company line that the only winner at the end of the night is β€œthe audience.”

β€œAt the end of the day they are really damn good (bands),” said Clarke, whose band has been around since 2009. β€œSometimes it’s as simple as that. People like ice cream because it’s really good and it doesn’t disappoint. The Beatles are real good and the music doesn’t disappoint.”

Expect to hear the greatest of the greatest hits from both bands. Abbey Road’s set list includes the Beatles hits β€œGet Back,” β€œTwist and Shout,” β€œSgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” β€œAbbey Road,” β€œDay in the Life,” β€œPenny Lane,” β€œLet it Be,” β€œEleanor Rigby” and more.

Abbey Road β€” from left, Axel Clarke (Ringo), Nate Bott (John), Chris Paul Overall (Paul) and Doug Couture (George) β€” are teaming up with the Rolling Stones cover band Satisfaction for the ultimate rock show at Fox Tucson Theatre.

Satisfaction will perform Rolling Stones hits, including β€œHeart of Stone,” β€œShe’s A Rainbow,” β€œSympathy for the Devil,” β€œThe Last Time,” β€œAngie,” β€œMiss You,” β€œYou Can’t Always Get What You Want” and β€œBrown Sugar.”

β€œIt’s really about the music,” LeGrand said. β€œI think the nostalgia of seeing this band, we’re doing an era of the Stones that most people didn’t get to see unless they were around in 1964, 1965.”

β€œThey are all just great songs. It’s two hours of fantastic songs,” he added. β€œIt’s all killer and no filler. There’s no down moments in the show.”

β€œBeatles vs. Stones” has played to sold-out venues nationwide, including in Tucson. Saturday’s concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at Fox Tucson, 17 W. Congress St. Tickets are $20-$67.50 through foxtucson.com.
