A baby goat that was caught on a cactus has found a home with a Pima County Sheriff's deputy, after he was rescued a few weeks ago.

Deputy Matt Ford responded to the call, pulling the goat from the cactus and pulling all of the spines stuck on his body, according to a post on the Sheriff's Department Facebook page.

The goat, who was very thin and in poor condition, had seemingly wandered off from home, and Ford quickly began looking for the family. After several unsuccessful days of searching, Deputy Courtney Rodriguez decided to take the goat home with her and add him to her own family, naming him Leroy Brown.

The Sheriff's Department has had its share of animal rescues and wrangles in recent years. They saved a man from a charging pig earlier this year and lassoed several emus last fall.
