Viewing the Swiss Alps via train, hanging out by the Indian Ocean on the shores of a remote island and seeing the old mining town of Bisbee.

Yep, these are all places you should travel to in 2018. At least, that's according to Frommer's.

The company that has been writing travel guide books for decades released their list of Best Places to Go in 2018. And yes, the Southern Arizona mining town of Bisbee took one of the few coveted spots.

Bisbee was the only Arizona town β€” and actually one of the few spots in the United States β€” that snagged a spot on the list.

Some of the reasons Frommer's picked Bisbee is because it is "antique, offbeat, affordable, and genuine." That, alongside having the oldest pub in Arizona, hosting the Smithsonian Institution affiliate's Bisbee Mining & Historical Museum, and it's proximity to the San Pedro River, makes it a "desert dream village."

"Think of the retro vibe of Radiator Springs from Cars, but with the mountain temperatures that are 15 degrees cooler than Phoenix or Tucson," the article says. "Bisbee is proof that there's still gold to be found in the desert."
