Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute

Pielstick hasnโ€™t seen a lot of collaboration between the various Buddhist groups in town, though he and others are making efforts to change that.

The Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute, 3400 E. Speedway, will show the film "Sherpa" 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17.ย 

The film details the stories of the local guides who help climbers scale Mount Everest.ย 

The movie night is free, but the institute asks that visitors bring food to share and a donation toward monthly rent.
