Pima County Sheriff's detectives arrested a man Aug. 4, who was wanted in connection with a kidnapping and sexual assault that took place on the south side earlier that day, authorities said.

44-year-old Calvin Lee Fox has been booked into the Pima County jail on one count of sexual assault and one count of kidnapping said Deputy Ira Sewell, a Sheriff's department spokesman.

Shortly after midnight, deputies arrived at the Food City, located at 2950 South 4th Avenue, in response to reports of a sexual assault, Sewell said.

They were told that a woman was taken against her will by a man with a gun, driven to an unknown location and sexually assaulted, Sewll said.

After the assault, the suspect dropped the victim off at a fast food restaurant, where she called 911 to report the crime.

Sex crimes detectives continued the investigation and identified Fox as a suspect. After locating and interviewing Fox, he was taken into custody and booked into jail, Sewell said.
