UA freshman swimmerΒ Trey Cashion, a two-time state champion at Walden Grove High School, did not swim in the UAβs opener against Wisconsin. He was snared in the NCAA red-tape machine. Because Walden Grove is a relatively new high school, the NCAAβs vast compliance office had not fully vetted WGHSβ academic courses, and thus Cashion had not been cleared to swim. Not that heβs academically marginal; Cashion is an engineering major.
